Seacoast Waldorf School Reviews & Testimonials

“If you are looking for a school that gives your child academics, a strong sense of self, confidence, all while teaching acceptance and inclusion, check out The Seacoast Waldorf School in Eliot, Maine. My wife and I did so more than 12 years ago, and it was one of the best decisions we made for us and our boys.”

“We sent our 2 kids here, starting in 5th and 2nd grade. Our daughter is in her final year of 8th grade now and our son is a thriving high school junior. They each had unique school experiences and both are turning out as caring, confident, capable people. The teacher balance well between caring and pushing for more exploration. The biggest benefit is the amount of outdoor time. Kids truly need space to be Kids and play. They learn to problem solve on their own. They are taught that they are a part of the rhythm of this world with the sense of wonder and responsibility that brings reflection and care into their decision making. Seacoast Waldorf School is a wonderful benefit to provide for your children. These kids will do great things!”

“A loving and nurturing school with an alternative educational philosophy that works. My kids are thriving here in ways I never would have imagined, and the only difficult part is staying ahead of their curiosity, stamina, and love for nature!!”

Our oldest child spent pre-k through 8th grade at Seacoast Waldorf School and had an incredible experience. He developed deep relationships with his peers and teacher, traveled to amazing places and grew into a confident, capable teenager. He has since transitioned wonderfully into High School and we have watched his classmates from SWS and other alumni thrive in whatever their next paths were.

Our youngest is in his final year here and we will be so sad to move on as this has truly been a second home for our children for many years. Thinking about where you are sending your kids for 8 hours a day can be overwhelming. This school is a warm, loving, holistic place for kids to grow and learn and be a part of a community that they are proud of and comfortable in. We have been so grateful to have it.
