Mabel grew up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and is a graduate of the White Mountain Waldorf School. Pursuing her passion for the arts and Waldorf education, Mabel received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston, MA, as well as a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Tufts University.

She was originally drawn to Waldorf Education through her love of fibers and Handwork. After receiving her Waldorf Teaching Certificate from Antioch University New England, Sara taught Handwork to grades 1-8 for many years before becoming a grades teacher.
